JACQUES PREVERT

Jacques Prévert was a French poet, screenwriter, and artist, born in February 1900 in Neuilly-sur-Seine and died in April 1977 in Omonville-la-Petite.

He began creating collages, which he viewed as another form of poetry. Jacques Prévert produced hundreds of collages over the course of 30 years.

His surrealist collages, which echo his writings, blend fantastical creatures, religious imagery, and lush flora.
