Marc Ferroud

Marc Ferroud was born on June 8, 1954 in Paris.

The French writer, poet and art critic Alain Jouffroy created the term "aérotecture" for the sculptures of Marc Ferroud: “While aero of course refers to air, tecture comes from the Greek term (tektôn) which designates the worker who participates in the architectural construction. Aerotecture thus evokes an aerial construction, where air, space, depth, line are absolutely predominant compared to the importance traditionally given by sculptors to volume and mass”.

Marc Ferroud has been making a name for himself in the landscape of contemporary art for twenty years with his aerial sculptures-drawings in wire. By drawing without paper and without pencil in space, the artist creates intimate or monumental works that give a feeling of fragility.
