'My work is a non-realist representation of the world, running parallel to it. The subjects are uncompromisingly the same : landscapes, nudes, still lifes. From the chaos of the world I extract fragments which I then stylize and embellish. I require forceful and constructive lines, and this overcoming of the image by the painting is where an abstract truth may reside. It is in this passage, in this fidelity to the object, in the heart of this transformation, that the subject-image becomes the painting-abstract truth. The series of paintings recounts a story whose developments are diverse. These thematic groupings correspond and create an imaginary world which can be shared with viewers, according to their visual culture, their personal development, and their time with the image.'
