Georges Goldfayn
It is the very vision of the Surrealist movement and the artistic choices of Georges Goldfayn (1933-2019) that this exhibition aims to rediscover. Writer, assistant and friend to André Breton, Georges Goldfayn was in charge of the À l’Étoile scellée Gallery from 1952 to 1956, before working with Henri Langlois at the Cinémathèque française. The exhibition recreates his office and living room, and in particular his collection of Oceanic art and Surrealist works (Toyen, Konrad Klapheck, Wolfgang Paalen...).
