An exhibition in the windows of the galleries of the rue des Beaux-Arts
Paris is in need of art… After the museums, the galleries are now prevented from exercising their activity normally. But the world capital of galleries is teeming with ideas and initiatives. At the heart of this ecosystem, the merchants of the rue des Beaux-Arts have decided to raise their heads: taking health recommendations into account, they are uniting to offer passers-bya museum-quality exhibition, accessible every day of the week.
The Saint-Germain-des-Prés district is historically home to an unrivaled concentration of cultural brands. Unlike other districts of the capital, the galleries flourish there with their faces uncovered, allowing walkers to revel in masterpieces visible from the street!
Bringing together more than twenty brands, the exhibitionWith face uncoveredtakes place in the windows of the galleries, visible from the outside.
Around this unifying theme,the face as an expression of humanity laid bare, from the shamanic mask of the Breton collection to the self-portrait of Marina Abromovic,the galleries offer an eclectic and stimulating journey, reflecting the specialties that are gathered in this historic street: contemporary art, modern art, graphic arts, primitive arts, design, antiques...
Located at the end of the street,the School of Fine Arts is naturally associated with the event, by being part of the dynamic logic of the district and by joining the galleries of St Germain-des-près in a fruitful urban dialogue offering its famous gatehouse welcoming a student.
The exhibition "With face uncovered" will be symbolically unveiled on Thursday April 1, which is the date of the monthly meeting of Jeudi des Beaux-Arts, and will remain visible until April 20.
