Galerie Berthet-Aittouarès has represented the work of Etienne Viard for over 20 years.

- 25 steel and corten steel sculptures, including the latest creations: Haïku, Org, Séquence...

- publication of a new 64-page catalog with a text by Dominique Païni and a talk by Laurent Boudier.

Placed directly on the ground, without plinths, they come in families – forests, sections, sheets. They are dominated by strong, flowing, vertical lines. They let in light, which punctuates and underlines the volumes, opening spce horizontally. The masses are always balanced. The steel, which is in bars or thick sheets, has been cut and moulded, then cold-bent with dizzying virtuosity. At times, the tensile strength of the metal is pushed to its limit.
