ANTOINE SCHNECK AT THE STUDIO HARCOURT GALLERY
A highlight of the 6th Photo Days festival, Antoine Schneck takes over the prestigious Studio Harcourt with a major retrospective. Bringing together nearly 20 years of work, this exhibition gives the mansion in Paris's 16th arrondissement, an institution of black and white photography, a new aesthetic. The French visual artist develops thematic series based on the travels and encounters that shape his life, seeking total neutrality through his signature uniform lighting and black background.
In addition to his portraits from around the world, his photographs also include a series of thousand-year-old olive trees and marble recumbent statues from the Basilica of Saint-Denis, produced for the Centre des Monuments Nationaux, armor that seems to come alive under his gaze, and even cars, including an impressive Ferrari race car. Antoine Schneck's work is all about portraits, of women and men as well as still lifes. Represented by the Parisian gallery Berthet-Aittouarès, he published his eponymous monograph in 2024 with In fine (292 pages, €29) . His carte blanche exhibition at Photo Days takes place in Paris alongside those of Julie Balagué, Juliette Agnel, Paolo Ventura, and many others.
From November 3rd, 2025, to January 31th, 2026.
